Willy Street co-op – A great organic Co-op in Wisconsin

On a recent trip to Wisconsin,  I had the extreme pleasure of visiting the Willy Street Co-op. This organic co-op is located in two locations in Wisconsin.

  1. 1221 Williamson St. Madison, WI
  2. 6825 University Ave. Middleton, WI

Our Mission Statement

The Williamson Street Grocery Co-op is an economically and environmentally sustainable, cooperatively owned grocery business that serves the needs of its Owners and employees. We are a cornerstone of a vibrant community in south-central Wisconsin that provides fairly priced goods and services while supporting local and organic suppliers.

My visit was to the one on University Ave. It is an incredible, clean and fun place to go. Stopping at the information desk right inside the front door, I was greeted with a big smile and a welcome attitude from the young lady who staffed this spot. She answered my questions and had time to go over how things work.

Vetiveah’s Skin Care

During my adventure at the ICHE Homeschool Convention, I had the pleasure of strolling into the Young Entrepreneurs section of the expo. This aisle was devoted to those young homeschool creative businesspeople who came to exhibit their wares.

During my time in this area, I had the pleasure of stumbling across Vetiveah’s Skin Care. This booth and company was founded by an incredible young woman who holds dear the tenets that are near and dear to the heart of the OrganicBabyDaddy.

100% Pure

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of entering a store that was right up my alley – 100% Pure. Located in the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL, is a small store that hit me in a big way.

All of the products in the store are 100% pure and natural. It is not very often that I come across products that are 100% natural and consist of ingredients that are pure. However, this place contained products for face, hair, skin, body, babies and nails, as well as fruit dyed makeup.

Stop by one of their locations in California, Washington, and Maryland.

A direct quote from their website,

“100% Pure creates healthy products for our body and also for the environment. Our corporate offices are run by 100% solar energy, our company is 100% electric and our pure, biodegradable formulas are packaged with post consumer recycled plastic, glass, soda cans, paper and printed with biodegradable non toxic vegetable ink. 100% Pure loves animals – we are completely cruelty free and charitable towards animal welfare.”

Check out the site and if they are close by, stop in and see what they have to offer.
